a. Camera Images & Visual Data
NexusSentry performs snapshot-based visual audits on cameras you configure:
- What We Collect: Individual camera snapshots (still images) captured at user-defined intervals.
- Processing: Snapshots are processed to generate AI-powered audit findings.
- Retention: By default, snapshots are processed transiently and are not permanently stored by NexusSentry.
- Optional Retention: Users may optionally enable temporary snapshot retention or include snapshots in audit reports for verification purposes.
- How Collected: You configure when and how often snapshots are captured
- Purpose: To generate AI-powered security audit findings
- Important: We do not provide continuous video recording, live streaming, or long-term video storage
b. Audit Results & Metadata
We store audit-related information, including:
- Audit timestamps and execution logs
- Camera identifiers and names
- Generated findings (detected objects, confidence levels, uncertainty assessments)
- Analysis prompts and queries you provide
- Token usage and processing metrics
- Audit type (regular, agentic, scheduled)
c. Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Full name
- Email address
- Password (encrypted - we never store plain-text passwords)
- Account tier/subscription level
- Account creation and last login timestamps
d. Cookies & Session Data
We use essential cookies and session management to:
- Maintain your logged-in session (HttpOnly secure cookies)
- Store authentication state
- Track session activity for security purposes
- Prevent unauthorized access
Session Information Collected:
- Session ID (cryptographically generated, 64-character token)
- IP address
- User agent (browser/device information)
- Session creation and expiration timestamps

2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information for:
- Service Delivery: Process camera snapshots and generate audit findings
- Audit Reports: If enabled by the user, snapshots may be included in audit reports delivered through the NexusSentry interface or email notifications.

- Communications: Send service-related updates and notifications
We do NOT:
- Sell your personal information to third parties
- Use your data for advertising purposes
- Share your data with marketers
- Train AI models on your camera footage without explicit consent
3. Third-Party Services & Data Sharing
a. AI Processing - OpenAI
What: Camera snapshots and analysis prompts are sent to OpenAI's GPT-4o vision model for AI-powered analysis
Why: To generate security audit findings, detect objects, assess confidence levels
Privacy: OpenAI does not use customer data sent via API to train their models
b. Cloud Infrastructure
We use cloud providers for database hosting, file storage, and application hosting. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Deleted Data Recovery: Deleted cameras and accounts have a 30-day recovery window before permanent deletion.
5. Data Security
We implement comprehensive security measures:

- ✅ Secure Sessions: HttpOnly, Secure cookies prevent XSS/CSRF attacks

- ✅ Rate Limiting: Prevents brute-force attacks
